Damaris has over 30 years experience as a physiotherapist and during this time has worked for the NHS as well as professional sports team on the international stage. Damaris has already worked in a variety of clinical settings within the Mendip area including Minor Injury Units and Outpatient Departments at Shepton and Frome Community Hospitals. She has a special interest in Paediatrics and Sports Injuries, and has extensive experience as a Sports Physiotherapist working with national and international teams at the highest level.  Damaris has a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Physio from Bath University and is qualified to prescribe. Outside of work, Damaris enjoys open water swimming, cycling and spending time with her four children and two dogs.

Damaris is usually working at the surgery on Thursdays and Fridays.

Damaris is working as part of the Mendip PCN First Contact Physiotherapy Service.

Jo qualified as a physiotherapist in 1991 and started working as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist in 1993, so has a wealth of knowledge of all areas of physiotherapy. She has worked as a First Contact Physiotherapist for the last 4 years and loves the variety and stimulation the job brings and enjoys working within the GP’s surgeries and being at the very start of the patient’s journey.   She is particularly passionate about health promotion and working towards a healthier lifestyle. She loves being outdoors with her husband  and 4 children and spends a lot of time sailing, running, riding and swimming.

Jo is usually working at the surgery on Tuesdays.

Jo is working as part of the Mendip PCN First Contact Physiotherapy Service.
